Defining Web Proxy
A Web proxy is used to intercept the navigation of web pages for security, anonymity, performance, etc.
A web proxy can be accessed by one, which is added to a browser IP, free
or paid address ( there are also programs to prevent proxy
configuration process). When someone uses the browser, everything is
done in the same first passes through the first proxy (the proxy
server). That is, if a site remote proxy is responsible for search and
send it to our computer is requested. In this intermediate step the
proxy can be used to:
* Anonymous browsing: if the proxy is configured this way, anyone who
navigate through that proxy will anonymously, the destination pages can
not know the IP address (identification ) of the computer browsing; only
see the IP address of the proxy. If a proxy is not configured to be
anonymous is said to be transparent navigation.
* Safe Browsing:. A proxy is responsible for filtering or alert on those
unsafe websites and filter content for unwanted (as adult content)
* Faster browsing : either because the proxy has a better internet
connection and sends the fastest browser data, or because the proxy
functions as a cache, keeping the most visited (or recently visited)
pages.
* traffic control: there spyware and other malwares that make up the
computer so that all web traffic first passes through a proxy. This
proxy is responsible for spying traffic and can take all kinds of user
information. If the data (such as passwords and credit cards) are not
encrypted, anyone can read. This type of proxy can also send
advertisements to infected computers (not exite publicity in the
original web pages).
